The weekend is coming up, which tends to mean a lot more free time! RP is fun time, and the weekdays can be grueling. So what would put a pep in your step? What would make finishing off that work week worthwhile? What have you got an hankering for in particular?

NOW is your chance to express your unspoken desires to your fellow rpers! And now is the chance to do something that is kind, the chance to truly make someone's weekend by granting a wish!

Meme Requests ~ Icon Requests ~ Questions

NOW is your chance to express your unspoken desires to your fellow rpers! And now is the chance to do something that is kind, the chance to truly make someone's weekend by granting a wish!

1. You may use one collective post or one post per muse. If the former, please be sure to include each applicable muses' journal name. Organize things accordingly within the post. Making use of titles to list fandoms, etc, makes for easy browsing. Of course, OCs are welcome!

2. Each muse (not mun) is limited to three rp wishes. You can have less, but not more. Choose wisely! Editing is allowed, obviously. If you really don't have any specific ideas or desires, providing a muselist of who you're itching to play and making three wishes for broad prompts is acceptable.

3. Anything goes, but include trigger-warnings/NSFW (18+) content in the TITLE of your post, if applicable. The ONLY thing off-limits to ask for would be a long-term commitment. For example: "I wish I had Jim Bob to play in this game". That's what <user name="musemostwanted"> and <user name="dear_mun"> and <user name="app_this_plz"> are for!

4. Requests for meme-making/re-posting is also open. For example: "I wish for a Random Scenario meme!" or "I wish someone would make a meme based around a tea party!" Just use reasonable judgement on this, since we don't want to absolutely flood the community come Friday. Icon requests don't seem like a lot to ask either!

*Meme Requests: Decidedly, meme requests should cut be cut off on Thursday at 5pm OR if we have a confirmed number of ~10 that will be made/posted. That's roughly three requested memes per day which, given Bakerstreet's usual volume (and planning for the worst case: people post memes as normal ON TOP of WGW's request) is plenty. A posting schedule will be made by the WGW Mod of the Week (<user name="enabling">) on Thursday evening. If you're a poster/maker, you'll get a note of when you're due to post by the aforementioned mod. Of course, your posting date is only tentative and the mod will work with you if there's a schedule conflict!

*Meme Reposting: Please make an effort to find the original poster ask gain their permission to repost a meme, unless it's a fairly common circulating meme on Bakerstreet. When in doubt: just make a spin-off of your own.

*Icons: If you're asking for icons, be sure to include character, fandom, and any specifics. ALSO please indicate if you'd be willing to accept links to icons for said character that have already been made (aka, your fellow rpers knows where to dig better than you in this case). You may ask from 1-15 icons for a character.

5. Go forth, read other wishes. If something strikes your fancy, reply to that post with your offer/affirmative (ex: "I will grant wish #3!")! Perhaps keep an open mind. If no one posts for your fandom, would you be willing to look into another for the sake of making someone happy for a weekend?

6. Be sure that, before you decide to announce you're granting someone's wish, you can make the commitment to whatever it is. If your wish-granting is conditional (ex: "I don't know this canon or muse and I'll have to research it. I can't promise that I'll be any good or like the character as much as I think now." or "I have to go to an appointment all Saturday.") be up front about this so no hopes get held up and dashed.

7. Be aware that this is only a promise for the weekend, nothing more, nothing less. Obviously, you may continue to rp beyond the weekend if you like, but the obligation ends when the weekend does (Sunday Night).

8. This should go without saying, but try to be as generous as you are wanting, and don't abuse the good will of others by spamming.

9. This is a plotting only post. On Friday morning (possibly midnight), the Weekend Wish Granted Meme will go up. Treat this as your musebox. Of course, if you can't wait, you may chose to move to a PSL of your own.

10. Love one another, spread good feelings. Your Mileage May Vary. No kink-shaming, etc etc. Be good to each-other!

REQUESTS: YES Specific rp scenarios of any kind (G to NC-17) and/or muses of any kind to play opposite of, icons (1-15), meme creation or re-posting.
REQUESTS: NO Long-term commitments, like wishing for a certain muse to join a game, or wishing for a drawn-out plot. Try to think bite-sized terms.
WISHES: Three per muse, no more. Be judicious about icon and meme requests.
GRANTING: Think twice and make sure you're willing to make a two/three-day commitment. Be clear on any limitations you might have. Don't make false promises. Be judicious about doubling up on someone's wish. When in doubt, PM.
PREFERENCES: YES Squicks, desires, male/female pref, specific ships, kinks, AU ideas, descriptions, etc.
PREFERENCES: NO Expected tagging speed, literacy levels, basically anything rude and demeaning.
DO: Respect one another.
DON'T: Abuse the kindness of others by spamming requests.
